The wonder that is Matori Lodge!

There are many places under the African sun that can be listed as extravagant getaways but none of which compares to the Matori Lodge.

Located in the heart of Nylstroom, Matori Lodge offers many exciting activities such as the beautiful eighteen-hole golf course fit for any professional, a swimming pool and even a Jacuzzi with a view. 

Able to accommodate as many as 18 people – fit for a large family, a gathering of friends and even work functions or getaways, the lodge caters to it all. With its modern African décor, boutique design and bushveld surroundings, Matori lodge does well to reconnect you to your African roots. 

So why pick Matori lodge as your next getaway or summer vacation?

Well for starters the lodge has a built-in bar with an inhouse chef to cater to your every need. Designed to have three separate wings revolving around the main fire pit and braai area to keep the entertainment centralized, each room is equipped with a 32-inch flat screen tv, DSTV, air-conditioning along with free Wi-Fi to keep even the busiest of bees connected. With its spacious interior, each room does well to combine the perfect balance of comfort with luxury.

As the sun starts to set over the horizon and the warmth of the day begins to fade, due to its unique design & large thatch roof covering overhead, the bar and braai pit makes for an amazing entertaining area with the Jacuzzi & pool not far from the bar, allowing you to enjoy a nice cold beer while dipping your toes into the warm bubbling water and soaking in the calmness the lodge has to offers.

And should you feel the need for games and activities, the lodge also has a gaming room filled with a dartboard, foosball table and even a pool table overlooking the golf course. What better way than to end the evening with!

And, for those that crave to see the Nyala and famous South African Springbuck, well, they are in luck. Apart from its beautiful décor and mesmerizing surroundings, the lodge is also home to different species of bucks who, on regular occasions, would come within arm's length to curiously greet its visitors. Although seldomly tame enough to pet, we wouldn’t advise getting too friendly with them as they are in fact still creatures of the wild. 

But amongst all the beauty this lodge has to offer, there was one thing that stood out to me above all else... Safety. 

Situated within the Koro Creek Golf Estate, Matori lodge makes safety an utmost priority, allowing you to feel the sense of relief in knowing that you and your family are well taken care off.  

So, to come to a close and to say our final say, Matori lodge, among all places, has done well to establish itself as the pride of Africa and would be highly recommended by us as a destination for your next vacation.
